ADVANCE NOTICE REQUIRED. Your request must be received six (6)
weeks in advance of the event date.
REQUIRED INFORMATION. Please
include the following in your request:
- name and home address of honoree(s)
- form of address (Mr., Ms., Mrs., Dr., Miss, etc.)
- exact date of occasion (month, day, year)
- age (birthdays) or number of years of marriage
- your (the requestor's) name and daytime phone number
- Wedding (Include couple's married names and current or new
address)
- Baby's Birth (Include baby's date of birth and full names
and address of baby and parents)
WHEN TO EXPECT YOUR GREETING. In most cases, greetings
will be mailed from the White House approximately ten (10) days
prior to the event.

3) Help Your Child Be A Great Reader
We all want to help our
child succeed in school. Go to the
experts at the U.S. Department of Education. “A Child Becomes
A Reader: Kindergarten Through Grade 3” is a booklet that includes
ideas about how parents can help their child become a reader when
they talk, play, and read together. This booklet also provides
ideas about what effective literacy programs look like in day care
centers, preschools, and classrooms. It is specifically written

4) Find Out What The FBI Knows About YOU
The FBI (Federal Bureau
of Investigation) is responsible for investigating most federal
criminal violations, and they maintain those records. If you want to know if they have a special
file on you, then all you need to do is submit a Privacy Act
Request form. Include your name and mailing address, along
with any identifying information that might help them locate
information about you (your date and place of birth, social security
number, former addresses). If you are interested in records
pertaining to a particular incident you were involved in, please
describe it.
You must sign your request and have it notarized. Also
include how much you are willing to pay for duplication fees. Send

do you make sure your child stays away from this activity? The
National Clearinghouse for Drug and Alcohol Information has a
wealth of resources at your disposal. Two
of their most popular publications include: "Suspect Your

publications give tips and suggestions on what the signs and
symptoms to watch for, as well as strategies to intervene or

7) Get A Presidential Honor For Any Deceased Veteran
You can
help commemorate the honor of a deceased veteran by requesting
a Presidential Memorial Certificate, an engraved paper certificate
expressing the nation’s recognition of the veteran’s service. The veteran’s name is inscribed and the certificate
is signed by the current President. Eligible recipients
include next of kin, loved ones, and friends. More than
one certificate may be issued. To apply you must submit
copies of the veteran’s discharge and death certificate (send
copies, as originals cannot be returned). You may call,
write, or email this office if you have trouble locating these
documents. You can request the Presidential Certificate by mail

8) Free Scholarships To Send Your Kids to Outer Space
Space Camp,
located in Huntsville, Alabama, offers kids ages 9-18, camp opportunities
from weekends to 13 days in length. Full
scholarships are available based on financial need, special learning
needs or academic achievement for students in fourth through
twelfth grades. Scholarships are available only for the
specific 6-day programs. Scholarship students may choose
