$2,000 for Women Over 35 Years of Age Pursuing Below-Graduate Level Education
The Jeanette Rankin Foundation offers awards of $2,000 each to U.S. female citizens over the age of thirty-five years who are enrolled or accepted in either a certified program of technical/vocational training or an undergraduate program. This is not for graduate work or to pursue a second degree. For a household of three, the maximum income is $25,720. $3,000 for Business Majors
The Kemper Foundation offers its scholarships to students enrolled in one of seventeen different colleges and universities. Contact the Foundation for a list of participating schools, as you apply for the scholarships through the schools. Eligibility consists of students interested in pursuing a career in business and in based on financial need. The Foundation also awards a limited number of merit scholarships, a minimum of $3,000 per academic year, to scholars who show no financial need. The current maximum annual scholarship awarded is $8,000. Those who obtain scholarships agree to work for pay during their summers for Kemper Insurance Companies in a variety of capacities and offices. Sixty to seventy scholarships are awarded each year. Money for Returning to School
The Business and Professional Women’s Association offers a Career Advancement Scholarship to women over the age of 25 who are returning to college after a break/delay in their education and who plan on pursuing a business career. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need and graduate within 1-2 years after receiving the grant.

Up to $1,500 for Returning Students
The PEO Program for Continuing Education provides grants to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to resume studies due to changing demands in their lives. There must be a need for financial assistance with their educational expenses to improve their marketable skills, and they must have been out of school for at least a year, be within the last two years of finishing your degree, and be a citizen of either the United States or Canada. Providing Educational Opportunities for Women (PEO) awards scholarships to women pursing advanced degrees. Each of the successful applicants of the P.E.O. Scholar Awards wins $10,000. You may be eligible for the P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education as well, which has funding of $1000- $1500, depending on the number of applicants. $300- $500 for Your Essay
The MENSA education and Education and Research Foundation Grants are awarded solely on the basis of a written essay of no more than 550 words. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who will be enrolled in an accredited college for the following academic year. Applicants are judged on both a local, regional and national level. Competition is stiff – in recent years 4,000 to 6,000 applications were received. Approximately $60,000 was distributed to awardees. The scholarship process begins during the first week of September and ends with the scholarship application deadline of January 15. Contact the address below for more information:

Women Pursuing CEO or CFO Positions Eligible for Scholarships
The Foundation offers scholarships to women majoring only in finance or economics who are planning for a corporate business career in the private sector. They are targeting women who they believe are most likely to become tomorrow’s CEOs or CFOs of major manufacturing companies. Applicants may range from high school seniors to Ph.D.s.
