Ask Lesko…
…
This week’s winner, Eugena,
sent in the following question:
“I have really
bad credit, but have a great rental history,
and have very low income, and wish to buy my
first home. Where should I begin my start in finding
a
down-payment grant or someone to help with this??
”
Answer: There are thousands of money
programs for all kinds of credit histories.. Some programs
you have
to
have good credit and some are set up especially
for people
with not so good credit. These programs are at
the federal, state and local government as well
as hundreds
of non-profit organizations. A good starting
place for help with buying a house is a U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development sponsored counseling
office near you. See www.hud.gov/hsgcoun.html.
For a complete list of government housing grants
I would
suggest my "Free Money For Real Estate" book
(www.freemoneyforrealestate.com/rebonus1).
Thank you for your question.
Each week, I answer
a reader’s question about
government grants. If yours is selected, you
will receive a free copy of my book, “Gobs
and Gobs of Free Stuff”. Send your questions
to Dixiestjohn@earthlink.net. Please keep your
questions short and as specific as
possible.

“Innovation comes,
not from market research or carefully crafted focus
groups, but from pissed-off
people…
Great thinking results when people get
really annoyed at the service they receive on an airline
or the way a retailer completely misses the mark. This
is what led Walt Disney to develop Disneyland, Steve
Jobs to create a better personal computer and the American
Revolutionaries to declare independence.”

Peters from his latest book, “Re-Imagine”
