.Almost all drug companies offer drugs for free to those
that cannot afford them. Each company has a different
application procedure, and your doctor must sign a form.
The medications are then shipped to your doctor for you.
This could relieve you of your high prescription drug
costs, so it is worth the effort. Look online for the
drug company’s program, then fill out the application.

you may or may not be eligible for this program, but
it is worth a call for clarification. It is also helpful
to know about this in the future if your situation changes.
Eligibility issues: Indiana resident for at least 90
days and age 65 or older. May not have insurance that
includes a prescription drug benefit. Must have a monthly
income which is less than $997 for individuals or less

..Rural Housing Repair and Rehabilitation Grants are
funded directly by the Government. A grant is available
to a homeowner who is 62 years of age or older. Funds
may only be used for repairs or improvements to remove
health and safety hazards, or to complete repairs to
make the dwelling accessible for household members with
disabilities. The amount of the grant is based on the
applicant's ability to repay and may be used in conjunction
with the Repair and Rehabilitation Loan. The lifetime

Two other grant programs for home improvement are the
Weatherization Program and the Energy Assistance Program.
The Weatherization Program helps to do some household
repairs that will make your home more energy efficient.
Linda Wildey stated that there is currently a list of
people waiting for services, but they are put in order
of need. Maximum household income is $14,925 per year,
although they take into consideration medical expenses.
The Energy Assistance Program will begin again in November
and offers help with large heating bills. For more information

Homeowners in Indiana can receive a standard deduction
on their property taxes, and in addition to this deduction
senior citizens can receive a separate homestead deduction
of $6,000 on the value of their property. There is also
a separate mortgage exemption of $3,000. A separate application
must be filed with the county auditor. For Rush County,
