Local and national non-profit organizations provide a significant opportunity for individuals seeking help with housing and real estate. They can provide help for:

- renters who have trouble making their monthly payments
- new homeowners who need help with down payments and closing costs
- home buyers who are seeking big discounts on properties
- renters and homeowners who need help paying their housing bills
- investors looking for bargains and opportunities
- homeowners who need cash to fix up their home
- seniors and people with disabilities who need help buying, renting or fixing up property

Many of these organizations receive their funding from government agencies, individual solicitations or other non-profit organizations.

Here are some non-profit organizations that offer grants for real estate. Contact your local elected official and your local library to help find non-profits in your area.
