  College Money From Your State

Maryland Gives 58,000 Students Money To Go To College
The following are highlights of an off camera interview that I conducted with the Director of Student Financial Assistance for the State of Maryland. Every state has similar programs and you should check with your state government office for similar programs. States rely on these programs to educate the workforce who will in turn make more money and contribute more taxes and talent to your state.

Not Affected By Budget Cuts
The most interesting thing about the interview was that even in the current times of budget cuts and financial constraints he does not believe that these programs will be affected in any major way in the near future.
It does not matter how old you are or how much money you make. There are different programs for different people. Find out what your state can do for you so you in turn can contribute more to your state.

Scholarships That Go Untouched
Mr. Parker has been in the financial aid business for many years and related to me how he has received calls from scholarship organizations complaining that they are not getting applications and could not give away their money. The state of Maryland certainly gives away all their money each year, but this statement is another indicator proving that there is help out there if you are willing to put in the work to look for it.
