Q:
Where's the money to train and get a better job?
A: There is a lot of training money available at both the state and federal
level. Training to compete in the new world economy has been an important
public policy initiative the last few years. If your job is going nowhere
or if you lose your job, you should immediately investigate the possibility
of receiving up to $10,000 to obtain training in anything from computers
to flower arranging. Most of this money is handed out at the local level
through your local One Stop Career office. To find the office near you,
contact your state capital and ask for your state department of labor.
Remember, no single office will know all the programs available, but this
is certainly a good starting place.
(My books that best speak to this subject are "Free
Money To Change Your Life" and "Free
College Money and Training For Women.")
I hope this
helps! Also check out www.FreeForVictims.Lesko.com
